Dubai, UAE –May 2026: This April, iCAUR, the premium new energy vehicle brand backed by Chery Group, made a high-profile appearance at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show with its entire product lineup, whilst hosting VIP guests and media from the United Arab Emirates and Middle East.
The showcase spanned the brand’s stylish SUV models, its comprehensive technology matrix, and cutting-edge ecosystem achievements, creating a multi-dimensional, immersive tech-experience zone. A diverse array of customised V27 models took centre stage, becoming a major highlight for attendees from across the world. In addition to the V27, iCAUR also showcased the V23, which is set to launch in the UAE in Q3 2026, further expanding the brand’s new energy vehicle portfolio in the region.
Also showcased was the unique ROBOX concept car representing iCAUR’s exploration of future mobility. Named from a combination of “ROBOT” and “BOX”, it adopts a future-classic conceptual philosophy, introducing a new design language that merges a streamlined OneBox silhouette with a high-clearance structure to balance aerodynamic efficiency with off-road capability.
Following the showcase in Beijing, iCAUR hosted its 2026 International Business Summit in Wuhu, China, bringing together global partners, as well as media and creators from across the Middle East, for a multi-day programme that moved beyond traditional industry formats.
Guests were shuttled to iCAUR’s home city of Wuhu, where they were fully immersed into the iCAUR mobility ecosystem. Rather than centring on presentations alone, the summit was designed as a structured experience that unfolded across real-world environments, connecting product, technology, and lifestyle through direct engagement. In this setting, new energy mobility was not introduced as a concept, but instead encountered through real-world experiences.

The Classic Journey: A Continuous Experience Across Distance
Ahead of its global debut in Dubai, UAE, in Q1 2026, the V27 underwent rigorous testing in extreme environments across multiple regions, and has been further validated by real-world user performance. Now guests were able to experience the V27’s capabilities for themselves on the Global Classic Journey, a long-range driving experience built around Golden REEV (Range-extended Electric Vehicle) technology.
On the journey, participants were able to test-drive the premium and stylish iCAUR V27 to experience its smooth handling similar to a pure electric vehicle, alongside the exceptional performance and range offered by the pioneering REEV powertrain.
The route combined highways, urban roads, and mountain terrain into a continuous trajectory, where changing conditions became part of the experience rather than interruptions. Here, performance was not framed through isolated demonstrations, but through continuity, or how consistently the vehicle maintained its capability across distance and variations in road conditions and terrain.
The programme continued with a test drive in Longshan, a purpose-built off-road experience park designed to simulate a wide range of real-world driving conditions. Featuring diverse terrains encompassing steep gradients, uneven surfaces, loose traction zones, water crossings, and mixed natural environments, the park offered a comprehensive and controlled setting for evaluating vehicle capability beyond conventional road scenarios.
Golden REEV Technology Highlighted:
The experience offered guests an in-depth insight into the advanced power technology that is the foundation of the V27’s success. The stylish SUV is equipped with iCAUR’s pioneering Golden REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) technology, which features a comprehensive optimisation of traditional range-extending configurations.
The system utilizes a 1.5T dedicated range-extender engine, achieving a peak thermal efficiency of 45.79%. With the ability to convert each litre of fuel into 3.71kWh of electricity, its fuel-to-electric conversion efficiency is industry-leading. The system uses a range extender with dual motors in a series setup. The range extender does not drive the wheels directly; it only generates power when required by the battery and runs in its most efficient range. This helps improve energy efficiency for long-distance driving.
Precise tuning of the electric drive system ensures every bit of energy is used efficiently. The V27 all-wheel drive model uses a rear-drive–focused setup with front assist. In daily driving, the front motor is mostly inactive, reducing drag when not in use and lowering overall energy consumption by about 5%.
The system features a chip-level, highly integrated 10-in-1 electric drive system. It reduces size by 27% and weight by 21%, while increasing power density by 37%, significantly cutting energy loss during transmission. The model is equipped with a 34.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, offering up to 150km of pure electric range. When combined with the range-extender engine, the total driving range exceeds 1,000km, making it suitable for a wide range of driving scenarios.
Enhanced by intelligent AWD technology, the vehicle’s robust power is precisely unleashed across all scenarios. The V27 is equipped with the i-AWD (intelligent All-Wheel Drive) system. Using electronic control, the system can adjust torque distribution across all four wheels based on road conditions and grip, helping the vehicle maintain optimal traction and stability at all times. The system can smoothly switch between 2WD and 4WD, dynamically distributing torque with efficiency as a priority to balance power response and energy use.
It offers 8+X driving modes covering Eco, Comfort, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Gravel, among others. All modes can be changed by voice command, allowing drivers to switch settings without taking their hands off the wheel and easily handle different road conditions.
Stellar Interiors:
The V27 features an immersive “Stellar Cockpit” design, equipped with a 15.4-inch 3K HD central control screen and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. It integrates diverse intelligent capabilities, including smart voice interaction and the Driver Monitoring System (DMS). Complementing these are keyless start, an electronic gear, and electrically adjustable seats with memory, ventilation, and welcome functions, enabling seamless and convenient interaction throughout every journey.
A class-first “Stellar Porthole” dual panoramic sunroof and floating “Star Island” ceiling create a unique ambiance. The interior offers seven convenient modes, including Nap, Sentry, Camping, and Pet modes, switchable with a single touch. The cabin uses plenty of soft-touch materials and leather upholstery, combined with wood trim and chrome accents. Eco-friendly and healthy materials are also used, balancing design aesthetics with practical comfort.
