INSPIRE Hosts a Breast Health Talk: Tough Conversation on Sexual Health, Body image, Intimacy, Relationships and More

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Breast cancer presents many challenges, and some of them are seldom discussed. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, INSPIRE wellness studio will host a conversation on difficult-to-address health challenges women and men with breast cancer face.

The event will include discussions not only of breast cancer risks and preventable causes but also sexual health, impact on intimacy, relationships, emotional distress, nutritional supplements, and more, followed by a healing dance movement on Saturday, 30 October from 5 pm to 7.30 pm, in the outdoor promenade, zone D (Burj Khalifa view), Gate Avenue, DIFC.

The panel includes health experts and real-life stories to shed light on these crucial issues, and it is curated by Mint Basil Market, one of the event partners: Hima Mammen, psychologist, Dr Nas Al- Jafari, functional medicine practitioner, Dr Labib Riachi, obstetrician/gynaecologist and Kylie Penfold, cancer warrior.

The 45-minute talk will be followed by an hour of 5Rhythms movement practice with silent disco headphones led by Lina Nahhas. This is performance art and a dynamic movement practice based on the principle that the psyche will heal itself by moving the body.

In addition, the first 50 participants will receive a yoga pack that includes a yoga mat from

American Rag, healthy eats from Energy Club and Mint Basil Market, and a nail polish change voucher from N.bar.

It’s FREE to attend, but you must register in advance since the space is limited to 100 people.

Providing information about all aspects of breast cancer challenges, including emotional, physical, intimate, and spiritual, can help equip the newly diagnosed with the tools they need to face their journey with greater confidence.
