Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Marka PJSC (DFM: MARKA), the first public joint stock retail operator in the UAE, is expanding its hospitality portfolio in partnership with Hearst Magazines International, with a second launch of the popular Harper’s BAZAAR Café located at CITY WALK Dubai.
Elegant in concept, Harper’s BAZAAR Café is at the heart of Marka’s hospitality expansion plans. The latest addition to a portfolio that includes a number of popular brands, the café is part of a line-up of acquisitions, home-grown concepts and franchising agreements from across the region. Harper’s BAZAAR Café is an essential component of Marka’s long-term strategy to build value for the company’s hospitality portfolio.
Nick Peel, CEO of Marka said: “The Harper’s BAZAAR Café is an exciting addition to Dubai’s luxury dining and hospitality landscape, offering a mix of fashion and food in an elegant setting. Harper’s BAZAAR represents the epitome of style and sophistication, and the café brings the brand to life, providing an ideal hub for Dubai’s fashionable residents and visitors, and a lively centrepiece of Marka’s hospitality business.”
“The café is a truly immersive experience, reflecting BAZAAR’s timeless chic on every level, from the décor, to the menu, to the polished presentation,” Adam Cooper, Hearst Magazines International publisher and global licensing director, said. “Marka is an excellent partner, with an understanding and appreciation of the BAZAAR brand. We are looking forward to the CITY WALK location and further expansion in the UAE.”
Hesham Almekkawi, managing director of Marka Hospitality, said: “Dubai’s second location for Harper’s BAZAAR Café follows a successful opening earlier this year in d3. We are proud to open this new café at CITY WALK, which forms a key part of our UAE expansion plans. The new location complements the Harper’s BAZAAR Café brand perfectly, and we are confident that it too will be a success.”
Harper’s BAZAAR Café will be a notable feature in CITY WALK, perfectly located between Downtown Dubai and Jumeirah. The café will have a capacity that extends to 46 interior seats, with 52 more available on the outdoor terrace, a tranquil space that draws inspiration from the secret gardens and retreats of renowned fashion houses, and provides the perfect environment for morning coffee and pastries, and lunch bites.
