DUBAI, UAE: Summer has officially arrived, and McDonald’s UAE is making sure that children across the country are able to enjoy their time off from school through an online camp packed with interactive experiences. With community at the heart of its operations, the family-favorite restaurant is rolling out hour long sessions, twice every week for little ones to tune into, completely free of cost.
Featured virtual activities will include arts and crafts, yoga for kids, gymnastics, trivia questions, dancing, stretching and short riddles. There will also be book reading sessions that bring back popular tales penned by Cressida Cowell from the Happy Meal Readers Program.
Enrollment will see children tuning in either on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesday and Thursdays, based on their day of registration, which allows the program to be flexible.
“Here at McDonald’s UAE, we are always looking out for new ways to engage with our local community. Through our Summer Camp, we want to be able to create memorable experiences that will both build new skills and keep the children entertained over the summer period”, said Walid Fakih, CEO at McDonald’s UAE.
In its commitment to being a positive addition to its local communities, McDonald’s UAE offers a hub for people to come together over a meal, engage with loved ones and keep its people first values alive. The Summer Camp follows previous initiatives such as the Happy Meal Readers Program which encouraged children to read with their families, as well as the Ramadan Books campaign in partnership with Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts, to support local artisans.
McDonald’s is eager to welcome children to a summer filled with fun and learning! To register to the summer camp, please visit https://forms.gle/5gEbFBKJJ5fWR7CaA
About McDonald’s UAE:
Operating since 1994, McDonald’s UAE today has more than 180 restaurants geographically located to service customers in many areas. McDonald’s UAE is committed to the quality of the products it serves at each restaurant and also maintains an active social responsibility agenda.
In an ongoing effort to contribute to the wellbeing of the communities and highlight the continuous environmental benefits of their actions McDonald’s UAE and Emirates Environmental Group joined forces in spreading green values among the UAE’s children by planting trees across the nation as part of their ‘Planting a Greener Future’ campaign. McDonald’s UAE also significantly reduced its carbon footprint since the launch of its biodiesel initiative in July 2011. 100% of McDonald’s used vegetable oil is collected from its restaurants across the UAE and converted into 100% biodiesel which is used to fuel the company’s logistics fleet.
In addition, McDonald’s UAE prides itself on being a local member of the community and has been committed to being a responsible corporate citizen since the first restaurant opened in the UAE back in 1994.
