Dubai: The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres gears up for RECon MENA 2016; starting from 30th till the 1st of November at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, DIFC. RECon MENA 2016 is themed “The Customer and Innovation”; keeping in line with the shopping centre and retail industry which are continuously changing and evolving, driven by a new, dynamic, global transformation providing service, connectivity and convenience to customers. Relationships among shopping centres, retailers, service providers and customers are expected to include the physical store and the digital sphere to create a seamless integration of experiences.
This year RECon MENA also offers two very notable keynote speakers at the conference. On 31st of October Dr. Tommy Weir will be kicking off the Recon conference, with 15+ years in the UAE, Dr. Tommy is a renowned speaker, advisor, author and Growth Specialist who specifically coaches CEO’s on how to grow against the odds and Editor-in-chief of the recently launched Emerging Markets Business Review. He will be highlighting great insight into the Retail Industry in the MENA region. The Customer and Innovation – Looking to the past to predict the future of retail by understanding the regional landscape.
On 1st of November Dr. Parag Khanna will take the stage– Parag is an international relations expert and best-selling author. Twice on TED Talks, CNN Global Contributor, Senior Research Fellow in the Centre on Asia and Globalization at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. Parag will speak on the growing significance and importance of the MENA region, importance of infrastructure, the future of country’s borders globally and the rise of trade in the 21st century.

RECon 2016 is jointly organized by the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); begins on Sunday 30th of October at 10 am to 4 pm with a Property Management Workshop followed at 6:00 pm with the welcome reception; the conference on 31st of October starts at 9:30 am till 3:30 pm and on the 1st of November the Conference runs from 9:30 am till 2:30 pm at 6:00 pm our Cocktail reception party; followed by the Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony begins at 7:00pm onwards.
