Dubai-UAE: In cooperation with Emirates Auction and with the support of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), the Most Noble Numbers charity auctions will include special mobile numbers. The auctions’ proceeds will go towards supporting the efforts of the 1 Billion Meals initiative, the largest in the region to provide food support to the underprivileged and undernourished, especially children, refugees, displaced people, and those affected by disasters and crises.
The Most Noble Numbers charity auctions will be held over two events – in Dubai on Saturday, April 16, at the Four Seasons Hotel Jumeirah; and in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, April 20, at the Emirates Palace, in the presence of distinguished personalities and philanthropists who are keen to support this humanitarian cause in the month of giving.
The auctions support the humanitarian goals of the 1 Billion Meals initiative organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which is seeking to send one billion messages of hope and solidarity from the UAE to those in need – especially at a time when food prices are rising globally and hunger threatens more than 800 million people.

At the auction in Dubai, du is putting up a range of special mobile numbers, including 581111113, 589999991, 586666663, 581333333, 586333333.
Meanwhile, at the auction in Abu Dhabi, du’s special mobile numbers available for bidding include: 589999996, 586666662, 581111114, 582444444, 586222222.
Enabling the Pioneers of Giving to Contribute

The 1 Billion Meals initiative, which has been launched in the UAE to aid the needy and the poor in 50 countries around the world by providing them with direct food support, in cooperation with international organizations and regional food networks, represents a humanitarian initiative unprecedented in its size at the level of the region.”
He added: “Our partnership with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in the Most Noble Numbers auction enables philanthropists in the UAE community to contribute to humanitarian work by bidding on distinguished numbers provided by du, the proceeds of which will support this humanitarian initiative.”
Donation Channels
Donors can contribute to the 1 Billion Meals initiative through the following donation channels: the campaign’s official website: www.1billionmeals.ae; bank transfer to the campaign’s account at Emirates NBD, number: AE300260001015333439802. Donors can also opt to donate AED1 a day through a monthly subscription by sending “Meal” or “وجبة” via SMS to 1020 on the du network or 1110 on the Etisalat network. Donations can also be made through campaign’s call center via a toll-free number 8009999.
The initiative is also welcoming donations through the Giving Challenge with the participation of government entities, companies, schools, and educational institutions in the UAE, via the crowdfunding platform YallaGive.
The 1 Billion Meals initiative
The 1 Billion Meals initiative, the largest of its kind in the region, represents the values of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which aims to involve everyone in charity and humanitarian work, including individuals and institutions from various sectors in the UAE and the world, with its focus on the concept of sustainable community financing to provide food support and the essential food security for the most needy groups, and opened the door to participation in a comprehensive societal movement aimed at weaving a network for those who cannot find a livelihood.
