Dubai: A recent study by Statista, 2022 has shown that over 63% of the human population on earth are connected to the internet and 54% of the human population are on social media. This study also highlighted that the value of the social media industry has been growing in leaps and bounds in line with the users and with e-commerce is leading the financial movements. 

Over the last years, social media registrations have been growing at a fast pace and with the global of confinement due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the number of social media users grew very fast on all platforms.

Millions of new social media content creators are signing up daily and growing their audiences creating a shift in the social media impact on global economy. Creator economy has grown to reach US$ 104billion and is expected to reach over US$ 1 Trillion in 2023 whereby social e-commerce is expected to grow at double the rate of e-commerce and overtake it bearing in mind that e-commerce is expected to reach US$ 9Trillion in the next 5 years. While social media advertising is expected to reach US$220 Bn by 2023.
