Interactive Workshops Introduce Students to the History of Pearl Trading and PCFC’s Role in Strengthening Supply Chains

PCFC celebrated the graduation of 17 students from its 2026 Summer Students Camp, marking the successful completion of an engaging educational programme designed to introduce students aged 8 to 12 to PCFC’s key functions, sectors, and role in supporting Dubai’s economic development. The programme combined interactive learning, practical activities, and educational experiences aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge, skills, and awareness during the summer break.
His Excellency Abdulla Bin Damithan, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), highlighted that organising the camp annually reflects PCFC’s ongoing commitment to investing in future generations. He noted that supporting students today is an investment in the nation’s future, and that introducing them to PCFC’s sectors and strategic roles helps raise their awareness and encourages them to explore future fields of specialisation that support Dubai’s and the UAE’s economic development journey.
The camp featured a series of educational workshops and interactive activities that enabled students to learn about the corporate work environment, customer service concepts, maritime safety, and PCFC’s role in strengthening supply chains. The programme also included a workshop delivered by the Emirates Marine Environmental Group on the history of pearl trading and fishing in the UAE. In addition, students participated in various awareness and recreational activities, providing them with a comprehensive learning experience that combined knowledge with practical application while enhancing their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
The corporation of the Summer Students Camp is part of PCFC’s efforts to support community and educational initiatives, strengthen engagement with society, and provide impactful programmes that enrich students’ knowledge, develop their skills, and introduce them to PCFC’s role and contributions in supporting economic growth and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the camp, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Damithan honoured the students, commending their efforts in using their summer break to acquire new skills and broadened their knowledge. He also praised the role of parents in supporting the development of a generation capable of meeting future requirements, contributing to sustainable development, and making meaningful use of their time through participation in programmes that enhance their abilities.
The students were awarded graduation certificates in recognition of their active participation and positive engagement throughout the camp, in the presence of their parents and several PCFC officials.
