Press release: FasterCapital backs HachikoBox through Acceleration to build an “ethical transaction layer”

Hungary & Dubai, UAE

FasterCapital has selected HachikoBox to join Acceleration, supporting the startup as it builds an ethical, location-based food ordering layer that routes micro-donations to nearby animal shelters and rescues. HachikoBox is designed to embed social impact into everyday transactions without adding cost to customers or creating donation friction at checkout.

FasterCapital and Acceleration will focus the first 30–60 days on execution milestones to finalize product integrations, merchant onboarding workflows, and partner organization enablement to accelerate pilots in target U.S. cities.

Why It Matters?

Consumers increasingly expect purpose-driven commerce, and merchants are seeking low-friction ways to demonstrate local social responsibility. HachikoBox aims to connect those needs by turning routine food orders into sustained local funding for animal welfare organizations, enabling restaurants and shelters to participate in a shared impact model without altering menu pricing or consumer checkout behavior.

What the Startup Delivers?

HachikoBox is an ethical food-ordering platform that embeds a small system usage fee for restaurants and routes a portion of that fee to a local shelter based on the customer’s location. Key elements:

– A flat $1.50 per-order system fee charged to partnered restaurants, with $0.25 from each fee automatically allocated to the chosen local organization.

– Optional consumer “Gratitude” tips split evenly among the organization, the restaurant, and HachikoBox.

– Zero cost to join for restaurants and streamlined menu sync; payments processed via Stripe with planned Bitcoin integration.

– Geolocation-driven discovery, high-performance Golang architecture, and optional registration-based loyalty features.

Why Now?

Timing Local organizations and independent restaurants are seeking new revenue channels and community engagement tools post-pandemic. HachikoBox targets pilot deployments in cities where interest from shelters and merchants is already present, aiming to validate integration flows and donation remittance processes.

What FasterCapital Will Provide?

– Hands-on execution support to close technical and GTM milestones

– Connections to relevant ecosystem stakeholders and mentors

– Product and market advisory to refine onboarding and partner workflows

– Fundraising-readiness guidance and pitch refinement

– Operational coaching for early merchant and shelter rollout

Program Plan First 30–60 Days

HachikoBox will finalize remaining software development, complete restaurant menu integrations, test geolocation routing logic, and begin coordinated pilot launches in priority cities. FasterCapital will work with the founder team on milestone planning and introductions to potential pilot partners.

Leadership Comment

Hesham Zreik, Founder and CEO of FasterCapital, said: ‘We’re excited to support HachikoBox through Acceleration. Our team will focus on execution milestones and connecting the startup with the right ecosystem stakeholders.’

Next 90 Days

Near-Term Roadmap HachikoBox plans to complete development funding deployment, run closed pilots with partner restaurants and shelters, measure donation flows and settlement timing, and iterate on the user checkout experience and merchant dashboard ahead of broader market rollout.
