Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Sponsored by 361 DDS and supported by Danube Welfare Centre, Priyaa Telavvane hosted the first edition of Nrityapriyaa, a dance competition for women of all nationalities and all dance forms, with the mission of spreading the message of improving holistic wellness and fitness through the medium of dance. A first of its kind, the event was a huge success and was attended mainly by female entrepreneurs and homemakers who are passionate about dance and fitness.
With a diverse panel of health and wellness experts, the event included discussions about the importance of dance in one’s life and its contribution to health. Danube Welfare Centre provided their support to this event, with their director, Ms Shabnam Kasar as the Chief Guest at the event.
The event, taking place at the Holiday Inn Bur Dubai, hosted a few different rounds of dance competitions. The winners of the event were Mrs Sailee Thatee and Ms Deesha of the Mrs and Ms Categories respectively.
Priya Telavvane, a trained classical dancer, and the host of the event said, “As a dance enthusiast myself, I felt like it was important to educate other women about how dance can have a positive snowball effect on other aspects of your life. Dubai Dancing Diva and Nrityapriyaa is the brainchild of my efforts to spread the bug of dancing.”
Numerous brands such as IWD, Well-being Sanctuary, Nazar Jewellery as well as Sand and Salty Hair endorsed the event and WeTel TV, the official Media Partner, covered it. Amol Jadhav, the co-founder of 361 DDS, has provided his support as well. He commented, “This event is a great initiative for all women of all ages. I strongly believe that men should be completely supportive of their wives for wanting to work on holistic fitness through dance.”
Reema, the founder of IWD shared her thoughts on the subject as well, “This is a great platform for women in the UAE. For all women who love dancing, they should use this opportunity to showcase their skills and find their community of like-minded women.”
About Priyaa Telavvane:
An interior designer and architect by profession, Priya has co-founded 361 dds with her partner, Amol Jadhav. A trained classical dancer, Priyaa has been learning from the age of 3 years old. Having won Miss India Globe 2019, Priyaa is adept in modelling as well as acting. She occasionally takes part in Broadway plays and is even currently participating in a Bollywood movie.
