Abu Dhabi: Rabdan Academy collaborated with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) – Abu Dhabi Centre to organize an exceptional entertainment event for orphans titled ‘Eidkom-Eidna‘, at the Academy’s main campus in Abu Dhabi. The event was part of the “Eid Clothing” initiative, which targets orphans from low-income and chaste families.
The event, attended by dozens of orphaned children officially registered with the ERC, took place during the holy month of Ramadan and aimed to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of orphans and foster families, while enhancing solidarity and social cohesion, and supporting humanitarian giving in UAE society.
The event featured a Ramadan Iftar for orphans aged 6-12 years and their foster families, along with various recreational games, drawing and colouring activities, and Eid preparations for children, such as hair-cutting activities. The event had the delightful presence of popular cartoon characters, who are adored by children, in collaboration with Majid magazine. This allowed for a direct and engaging interaction between kids and their beloved animated friends.
The faculty, staff, and students of Rabdan Academy volunteered at the event, adopting a humanitarian gesture to empower orphaned children and bring joy to their hearts, while providing aid and assistance to foster families and alleviating their suffering. The event concluded with the distribution of gifts to the children, creating an entertaining atmosphere that had a significant impact on drawing smiles on their faces.
This initiative is part of the Academy’s ongoing community programs, initiatives, and activities that aim to instil a culture of social responsibility, promote the spirit of solidarity, and enhance social cohesion.
