Abu Dhabi: Rabdan Academy is pleased to accept the GovTech Innovation Awards 2021 “Abu Dhabi IT Department of the Year”; The annual award goes to distinguished IT department in the UAE and recognizes the departments pioneering work in areas of employing technological transformation techniques, in this case in the education sector. The Academy won in the category “Abu Dhabi IT Department of the Year 2021” for accommodating technology transformation in every facet of its organization.
The Department implemented an intelligent project package as part of the academy’s strategic transformation plan. It provided distinguished global standard technologies, that reduced paperwork and facilitated crucial remote working during the pandemic. On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Faisal O. Al Ayyan, Academy Vice President, said “The achievement of this distinguished award is only a step made by the Academy in supporting the UAE’s march in the field of digital transformation, as UAE has achieved a new global achievement by being among the best countries in the world in government digital transformation, to be the only Arab country in this group, in the Government Digital Maturity Report “GovTech” issued by the World Bank for the year 2021”
Mrs. May Al Marri, Director of ICT Department at Rabdan Academy stated “the Academy winning this Award contributes to promoting Abu Dhabi government’s efforts towards a comprehensive digital transformation of all government services, in order to enhance Abu Dhabi’s leading position globally in the sustainability of digital government services, and achieve the highest levels of institutional achievement which is based on employing innovation and creativity in the work environment. The digital services of Rabdan Academy contributed to facilitate all processes, starting with the registration of students, their enrollment in studies, programs and exams, as well as the digital services provided through the faculty’s research and studies, and the disposal of paper transactions for the administrative cadre in the academy.”
