  • Travel technology leader says the industry is entering a new phase of AI adoption, where intelligent systems will increasingly act on behalf of travellers
  • Partnership brings one of the world’s leading travel technology companies to ATM Travel Tech, supporting discussions on artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation
  • ATM Travel Tech, a dedicated co-located event taking place alongside Arabian Travel Market from 14-17 September at Dubai World Trade Centre

Dubai, United Arab Emirates,  August 2026: Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 has confirmed Sabre as the official ATM Travel Tech Strategic Partner, reinforcing its focus on technology and innovation, with artificial intelligence (AI), data, and digital transformation among the key themes shaping the conference programme.

The appointment comes as travel businesses increasingly focus on AI applications that improve operational efficiency, strengthen resilience and deliver more connected traveller experiences. According to Sabre, the industry is moving beyond AI that recommends, to agentic AI that acts and is capable of managing increasingly complex traveller journeys in real time.

Taking place from 14–17 September 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, ATM 2026 will explore these developments under the theme Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology, with ATM Travel Tech bringing together leading technology providers, innovators and travel businesses to examine the technologies influencing the future of global tourism.

Chad Callaghan, Director, Product Marketing, Sabre, said: “Travellers don’t think about the technology behind a trip; they simply expect it to work. As AI moves from providing answers to taking action, Sabre’s role is to provide the trusted, enterprise-grade technology that connects those experiences to the systems that power travel. That means turning intent into journeys that can actually be searched, booked, and serviced.”

Sabre believes this marks a broader shift from using AI to provide better answers to using it to deliver better outcomes for travellers.Demonstrating this momentum, Sabre doubled its active pilot and production partners using its Agentic APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server from 30 in the first quarter to over 60 in the second quarter. Sabre’s MCP server functions as a secure translation layer, bridging the gap between third-party AI agents and complex travel systems, enabling autonomous search, booking, and servicing against live enterprise inventory.

Supported by predictive intelligence and large-scale travel data, Sabre’s AI-native capabilities are also helping airlines, hotels and travel sellers improve operational efficiency while enhancing the traveller experience. Sabre’s technology currently processes more than 11 billion shopping requests each month and approximately 14,000 transactions every second, drawing on more than 50 petabytes of travel data to help travel providers anticipate market changes, respond more effectively to changing demand and create more personalised travel experiences.

These developments will be explored throughout ATM Travel Tech, which debuts this year as a dedicated co-located event. Bringing together more than 180 exhibitors from around the world, the event will showcase innovations across artificial intelligence, robotics, immersive technologies, fintech and smart mobility, reflecting technology’s growing influence across every part of the travel ecosystem.

Danielle Curtis, Regional Portfolio Director – UAE, RX Global, said: “Technology is now central to almost every business decision being made across the travel industry, making it essential that ATM brings together the organisations driving that change.

“Sabre has played an important role in the evolution of travel technology, making them a natural partner for ATM Travel Tech. Their expertise will add significant value to the discussions taking place across the Future Stage and Tech & Innovation Hub as we explore our theme, Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology.

“By bringing together technology leaders, travel businesses and policymakers, ATM provides a platform for the industry to exchange ideas, address shared challenges and identify the opportunities that will influence travel over the coming decades.”

At the heart of the event, the Future Stage will examine how organisations are applying AI, automation, data intelligence and digital technologies to improve decision-making, enhance customer experiences and strengthen commercial performance. Sessions led by organisations including Dragon Trail and Videc will explore topics such as AI-powered destination marketing, digital transformation, and investment across the travel technology sector, while the Tech & Innovation Hub will offer visitors the opportunity to experience many of these innovations through live demonstrations and immersive showcases.

ATM Travel Tech forms part of Arabian Travel Market 2026, taking place from 14-17 September at Dubai World Trade Centre. Bringing together destinations, hospitality brands, airlines, technology providers and tourism professionals from around the world, ATM 2026 will examine the trends, partnerships and innovations shaping the future of global travel, while providing a platform for meaningful discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry.
