Riyadh: Saudi Ministry of Health announced an agreement with VOV a gaming and esports company, part of the SAVVY Games Group, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund PIF, to support the health and wellbeing of local gamers.
Under the agreement, all VOV venues will be fully accessible and offer healthy nutritional meal and snack options. On-site resources and services will focus on enhancing performance in competitive gaming, providing a safe space to explore new games, in addition to enabling access for gamers with disabilities. Saudi Health will also provide gamers with off-site mental health support for risks associated with long-term gaming.
Worth noting that the cooperation began with the launch of an awareness campaign through the ministry’s (Live Well) platform during the period from 17 to 27 August 2022, which aimed to improve players’ behavior, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
