Riyadh: Users from Saudi Arabia can rejoice as AGOOL by Hala Yalla – Saudi’s very own chat and messenger app –  is out in beta, and available for download on iOS and Android. The Saudi startup is looking to disrupt a field dominated by giants like Whatsapp and WeChat.

Instant messaging on apps has become a way of life for most of us in the Kingdom, as it provides immediate time and access to people we want to talk to, no matter where they are in the world. AGOOL creates this ultimate social network experience with its fast, detailed, and advanced features such as voice calls and personal chats, all with customizable settings.

Built by one of Saudi’s leading startups, and the tech team behind Sharek, Saudi Federation’s SFA, Jeddah Seasons, and Diriyah Seasons, Hala Yalla has become a familiar sight to users on smartphones and other devices across Saudi Arabia. The Hala Yalla Super App is now the destination of choice for millions of consumers across the Kingdom looking to discover new experiences, book venues, buy tickets, share in hobbies, and much more.

“With the messenger app market continuing to grow around the world, our goal with AGOOL was to build an app exclusively for our community. So we set out to design Saudi’s very own chat messenger with simple and advanced features that guard your social presence. With an interface localized for the Saudi user, it’s time to experience chat messaging through a refreshingly minimalist design with a focus on communication” says Yousef Shanti, Hala Yalla Co-founder.

Built and designed right here in the Kingdom after studying the Saudi market and the communities’ needs, AGOOL is tailored for the Saudi experience with total Arabic and English functionality, Saudi-themed stickers, voice notes, emojis and direct messaging, all part of the package.

Hala Yalla and the services it provides have quickly become essential to many of Saudi Arabia’s sports and entertainment events. A Saudi tech company with a track record of launching successful products like Saudi’s first esports tournament platform – Kafu Games, its key achievements include the first International Riyadh Marathon in 2018, ticketing and event operations for The WWE Greatest Royal Rumble events in 2018 and 2019, and Esports tournaments such as the $10m charity tournament Gamers Without Borders.

AGOOL’s chat services are already integrated with GSA Live, the Ministry of Sports’ official platform to live stream sports matches, and get the latest news, scores, and standings. It’ll soon be added in the esports app Kafu Games too.

The continued growth of apps like AGOOL only proves that Saudi technology is in fact gaining traction around the world. And not just that, it’s also continuing to innovate and add more services to meet user needs.

Chat safely and seamlessly with your friends and family. AGOOL by Hala Yalla is now available for iOS and Android as more features will be added soon that meet Saudi communities’ needs.
