  • More than 2,000 participants are expected at the three-day event, bringing together professionals involved in caring for patients, families and communities
  • The programme will highlight how clinical expertise, research and professional leadership can support more integrated healthcare services and improve the experience of patients and their families

Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, October 2026 – SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, has announced that the 12th SEHA International Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Conference (SINMAC 2026) will take place at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers from 23 to 25 October 2026. The conference will bring together practitioners and decision-makers to examine how these professions can respond to the changing needs of patients, their families and communities.

Held under the theme “Transforming Family Health Beyond Borders Through Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Excellence”, SINMAC 2026 will consider care from the perspective of the people receiving it. As patients move between services, each professional contributes different expertise; the conference will explore how those contributions can work together around the individual and their family.

Mr. Muayyad Mohammad Hussein, Chief Nursing Officer at SEHA and President of SINMAC 2026, said: “Our colleagues are often the people families turn to with questions, concerns, or uncertainty. Supporting their professional growth means recognising the judgement they bring to care and giving them opportunities to influence how services develop. We want this conference to make space for their experience and ideas alongside the wider decisions shaping healthcare.”

The scientific programme will connect developments in clinical practice with the education, research and organisational support needed to apply them. Discussions will also address specialty development, innovation, leadership and policy, allowing participants to consider both emerging approaches and the circumstances in which they may be useful.

That exchange will extend beyond individual disciplines. Regional and international experts will join healthcare leaders, educators, researchers and students, while participation from policymakers and regulators will bring a wider perspective on how the workforce is prepared and supported.

Mahmoud Abdul Rahim Hasan, Chief Nursing Officer at SEHA Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City and Chair of the SINMAC 2026 Scientific Committee, said: “Research and innovation become more useful when professionals from different backgrounds can examine them together. The programme is designed to encourage questions about the evidence behind an approach, its relevance to a particular setting and what teams would need to apply it responsibly. This helps connect professional learning with the realities of practice.”

Through SINMAC 2026, SEHA is linking continuing professional development with the evolving needs of its healthcare network, strengthening the knowledge and skills needed to deliver integrated, patient- and family-centred care in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.
