Serco Awarded to Manage Ras Al Khaimah International Airport Services

  • The contract was signed by Serco Middle East CEO Phil Malem and His Excellency Engr. Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaima at the UK pavilion at Dubai Air show on 16th November 2021. 
  • Serco will provide essential technical air traffic services including aerodrome control and approach control on behalf of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, commencing February 2022.

Dubai: Public services company Serco Middle East has been awarded a 5-year contract to provide essential technical air traffic services including aerodrome control and approach control on behalf of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, commencing February 2022. The contract was signed by Serco Middle East CEO Phil Malem and His Excellency Engr. Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaima at Dubai Airshow on 16th November 2021. 

Serco will be managing and maintaining an orderly flow of air traffic and coordinate aircrafts both in air and in relevant areas in the airport and support the airport in interaction and compliance with GCAA regulations.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has an average of 20 flights a day and serves several major destinations including India, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It also is an essential training hub for UAE flight training organizations.
