Dubai: Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, will be arriving in Dubai from 22nd of February and ahead of the premiere, Shrek fans can have the opportunity to win a spot on stage next to the musical stars as ‘Young Shrek’. Shrek is urging young fans to get crafting and create their best homemade look as an ode to the famous ogre.
The competition will be open for entries from 2nd February until 10th of February with callbacks for the best entries taking place from 13th of February. This will allow fans to enter through crafting their very best costume/look and posting a video of them wearing the ‘looks’ live on social media. So go green, leave your teeth un-brushed, pop out those ears and pull on your favourite muddy brown trousers for a chance to win. The best costume creators will be invited to callback auditions, where a final winner will be selected. The winner will then be given the opportunity to join the stars on stage at Dubai Opera playing the role of ‘Young Shrek’ for 8 performances at Dubai Opera!
To enter, creative Shrek fans will need to head to Instagram, post their video and tag @Broadway_Entertainment_Group, @DubaiOpera, @LiveNationme, @DU and @rovehotels to their feed, with the hashtag #ShrekTheMusicalDubai. Make sure to channel the green spirit, be imaginative and cast yourselves to Far Far Away to be in with a chance to make your Shrek debut!
