The latest edition builds on the initiative’s ongoing efforts to promote the correct use of Arabic and its effective application in legislative drafting. It highlights common linguistic errors while showcasing the richness and beauty of the Arabic language.

H.E. Dr. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar, SLC Secretary General, said: “We are pleased to launch the third edition of the ‘Arabic Coffee’ e-book, further advancing the initiative’s valuable contributions to enriching the cultural and intellectual landscape. Since its launch, the initiative has emerged as a valuable addition to the national efforts to promote the proper use of the Arabic language, while showcasing its distinctive beauty, stylistic versatility, and rich vocabulary. This latest edition builds on a series of significant milestones achieved by the initiative, particularly winning the prestigious UAE Ideas Award in the ‘Promoting the Arabic Language’ category, in addition to the recognition of the initiative’s team by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Honorary Patron of the Dubai Quality Group.”

Salem Al Ahmad, Arabic Language Adviser at SLC and founder of the ‘Arabic Coffee’ initiative, emphasised the initiative’s important role in promoting and preserving the Arabic language by addressing common linguistic errors and enriching the linguistic repertoire of government employees. He noted that the initiative also seeks to highlight the richness and significance of the Arabic language, as well as its enduring civilisational role, adding that the General Secretariat will continue to develop the initiative and expand its reach through collaboration with partners and relevant stakeholders.

Al Ahmad added: “The initiative has received an overwhelmingly positive response from government leaders, employees, and followers across social media platforms, reflecting its tangible impact in promoting linguistic accuracy in legal drafting. The third edition, which features 30 ‘cups’ of linguistic insights, focuses on further enhancing the linguistic accuracy of legal drafting.”
