Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Soudah Development will take part in the first-ever WTM Spotlight Riyadh, held from September 8 to 10, 2026, to present Soudah Peaks, its luxury mountain destination in Aseer, to the international travel trade. Through a dedicated booth, the company will share the story behind the destination’s development.
WTM Spotlight Riyadh will bring together destinations, tourism authorities, hosted buyers, tour operators, hospitality brands, airlines, and travel professionals to build partnerships and open new tourism opportunities across the region.
Soudah Peaks is being developed as Saudi Arabia’s premium mountain tourism destination, combining wellness, adventure, and luxury hospitality with the authentic culture of Aseer. With an investment exceeding USD 3.9 billion – including approximately USD 1 billion dedicated to infrastructure – the project spans six development zones. Plans include more than 2,810 hotel rooms, 1,337 residential units, and more than 30 commercial and entertainment attractions, each designed to reflect the region’s landscape and cultural identity.
At its booth, Soudah Development will present the vision and key attributes of Soudah Peaks, highlighting the opportunities the project offers for collaboration and strategic partnerships across the tourism and hospitality sectors. Visitors will also gain insight into Aseer’s distinctive natural landscapes, rich heritage, and cultural identity through curated visual content and engaging discussions.
Eng. Saleh Aloraini, Chief Executive Officer of Soudah Development, commented: “Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector is undergoing a remarkable transformation, driven by the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030. At Soudah Development, we are building on Aseer’s exceptional natural and cultural assets to create a mountain destination rooted in the region’s identity. Soudah Peaks embodies this vision, and WTM Spotlight Riyadh gives us a platform to share that vision with the international travel trade.”
The participation also reflects Soudah Peaks’ broader national significance, supporting the diversification of the Kingdom’s premium tourism offering and its continued growth as a global destination.
