Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi, said:
“Since its founding, the UAE’s journey has been anchored in an ambitious vision and a firm belief that investing in youth is an investment in the nation’s future and prosperity. Under the guidance of our wise leadership and following the vision of our Founding Fathers, we continue to empower young men and women as active partners in shaping their future, drawing on their innovative ideas, determination, and ability to turn ambitions into tangible achievements.”
“At the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi, we believe that preparing a new generation of leaders is a shared responsibility, and that the role of young people goes beyond acquiring skills to actively contributing to innovative solutions and being part of decision-making on issues that affect their future. Through our partnerships with government entities, academic institutions, and industry leaders, we are developing the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to lead the water and energy sectors into the future.”
“With the unprecedented acceleration of artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics technologies, there is a growing need for national talent equipped with advanced digital skills, an innovative mindset, and a strong ability to learn and adapt to change. At the Department of Energy, we continue to advance the deployment of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to strengthen the regulatory and operational ecosystem of the water and energy sectors; improving operational efficiency, service quality, and supporting data-driven decision-making. The success of this transformation depends not only on technology and infrastructure, but also on national talent capable of guiding and deploying these technologies responsibly and thoughtfully.”
His Excellency concluded: “On International Youth Day, we celebrate the young men and women of the UAE and around the world, whose circumstances may differ, but who share aspirations for greater opportunities and a more sustainable future. By placing our trust in their capabilities, involving them in developing solutions, and strengthening partnerships with them, we are laying the foundations for a future led by a generation that remains true to its values, confident in its abilities, and equipped to make a meaningful impact on its nation and the world.”
