Thales strengthens its commitment to the Middle East with a raft of executive appointments

Thales, a global leader in Aerospace, Defence, Security, Space and Transportation, today announced a series of Middle East leadership changes, effective immediately.

Roger Daix has been appointed as VP of the Middle East. He was steering the operations of various Global Business Units (GBUs) within the Group’s portfolio before being appointed as the Vice President of Thales Eurasia in 2016.

With 15% of the Group’s total order intake and 1800 employees, the Middle East is a key region for Thales. The Group is committed to strengthen its local industrial footprint through co-innovation partnerships with local industries and academia and by developing support and services to enhance customer relations. In order to achieve this objective, Thales forecasts to hire between 150 and 250 new people across the region.

Following this appointment, Bernard Roux, previously Thales Country Director of Bahrain, has been appointed as UAE Country Director. Alain Correia takes over from Bernard Roux as Thales Country Director for Bahrain, Kuwait and Pakistan.

Other changes include Frederic Sallet’s appointment as Thales Country Director for Qatar. Within Oman, Eric Delannoy has been appointed as Thales Country Director.

As VP of Thales Middle East, Mr Daix will lead the company’s growth in the region and continue to drive the group’s expansion in the Middle East. Likewise, each of the new country directors will continue to develop the longstanding relationships that Thales has had with the Middle East and build upon its growth in the region.
