On the afternoon of July 7, the China-Ghana Emerging Industries Trade and Investment Matchmaking Conference, co-hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), was successfully held at the Palm International Conference Centre in Accra. Li Yaohong, Commercial Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana and Ms. Afua Tekyi-Mills, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, attended the event and delivered speeches respectively.
Centered on the theme of “Driving Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy”, the conference drew more than 200 representatives from over 100 enterprises across China, Ghana and West Africa. Two round-table forums stood out as highlights of the event. Experts from scientific research institutions, industry associations, financial sectors and other fields conducted in-depth discussions on “Infrastructure Financing and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Models” and “Energy Systems and Renewable Energy Integration”, sharing valuable insights on China-Ghana industrial capacity cooperation.
The subsequent B2B matching sessions were held in a warm and dynamic atmosphere. Participating enterprises carried out targeted exchanges focusing on key sectors including new energy vehicles, energy storage technologies and smart home appliances, yielding fruitful cooperation results. This event has effectively expanded cooperation channels for Chinese and Ghanaian enterprises, building an efficient platform for Chinese emerging industries to go global and supporting Ghana in realizing the value conversion of its domestic resources.
