The Crunch is one of Dubai’s newest culinary concepts built from years of mastered cooking, cross-border flavours, and a shared belief that good food is not just a meal – it is a multi-sensory experience worth revisiting

Dubai, UAE, July, 2026 – Dubai is set to welcome “The Crunch,” an inventive new dining destination started by two expert chefs whose careers have taken them through some of the world’s most respected kitchens to create the ultimate modern yet authentic multi-cuisine concept. Founded by partners Mukhtar Kosbayev and Anastassiya Kosbayeva, the casual chic eatery will officially open doors on 31st July, alongside Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah, Dubai, converging culture and flavours from world-renowned kitchens to an everyday format. The Crunch is poised to become a place where guests can grab a cup of specialty coffee on their way to work, enjoy a warm breakfast with family, meet colleagues over a luscious lunch break, or simply immerse themselves in a delightful course worth a long drive from across the city.

The Crunch is a joint partnership between the co-founders, Mukhtar and Anastassiya, two passionate chefs who met through a shared love for food and exploration, and have since built their latest culinary concepts from flavours across different continents. The co-founder Mukhtar, who is of Kazakhstani origins, has worked at acclaimed kitchens such as Noma and Frantzén, and boasts a wholesome culinary experience spanning the United States, Switzerland, Iceland, Kazakhstan, and the UAE. His partner, Anastassiya, who is from his homeland, developed her own cooking journey and concepts, starting from a home-made culinary studio in Kazakhstan to developing private modern dining experiences across London, Moscow, Iceland, and Dubai. Blending all their gastronomy passion and expertise, The Crunch concept sprung to life with the vision to represent everything they have learned from their adventurous and experiential culinary journey.

Every element of The Crunch’s interior decor was designed to feel considered rather than curated in ambiance. Warm copper and amber tones run through the walls and floors, paired with marble-topped tables, soft velvet seating, and hand-blown glass details that catch natural sunlight throughout the day. A signature feature wall, constructed from hundreds of small amber blocks, evokes the look of caramelized contour, which accentuates the warmth and craftsmanship at the heart of The Crunch’s kitchen.

The restaurant’s menu draws on European masterful technique, Scandinavian philosophy around ingredient quality and a respect for the flavours familiar to Dubai’s diverse and international communities. Guests can expect all-day breakfast worth ordering at any hour, freshly baked croissants and sourdough, housemade ferments, and seasonal produce prepared with unmatched care. The restaurant’s ethos is clear: deliver dishes that feel familiar at first glance, but surprise the taste buds once sampled.

Commenting on the opening of their latest culinary concept, Mukhtar, Co-Founder of The Crunch, said: “Every country, every kitchen and every person we’ve met along the way has shaped how we think about food, hospitality, and people. “The Crunch is the melting pot where all of that comes together – and quality is never the ingredient that we compromise on,” he added.

“If The Crunch didn’t exist, Dubai wouldn’t have lost just another restaurant, it would have lost a story that only we can tell about people, family, and what food can evoke in people when it is made with genuine attention,” said Anastassiya, Co-Founder of The Crunch.

The Crunch will be situated in Dubai’s high-street district at Al Wasl Road on Jumeirah 1, and operates from 8am until 12am daily. Guests will discover a multi-sensory space where every detail—from the bread on the table to the waiters behind the counter, and the contemporary yet authentic atmosphere—makes it a must-try new gem in the city of new flavours.
