Top Asian leaders to discuss Tech-led Strategies for Economic Recovery at the First ABLF Talks Virtual Conclave of 2021


The Virtual Conclave held by ABLF, Asia’s most influential leadership platform, will feature engaging discussions by Dr Aaditya Mattoo, Chief Economist, World Bank, East Asia and Pacific Region; Kathleen Rogers, President, EARTHDAY.ORG; Alisha Moopen, Deputy Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare and renowned humanitarian and globally acclaimed artist Sacha Jafri among others.

Dubai, UAE: After three successful editions in 2020 (October 6, November 5 and December 7), the First ABLF Talks Virtual Conclave of 2021 will be held on January 18 at the cutting-edge virtual venue, the ABLF City.

As always, the leadership series organised by the Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF), Asia’s most influential leadership platform, will bring together powerful global leaders in conversations of consequence seeking solutions to urgent issues.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, the event focuses on the theme ‘Innovative Strategies for a Decade of Challenges – Asia 2020- 2030’, with the narrative rallying around disruption, determination and commitment to establish sustainable solutions to adapt and pivot in the ecosystem that has emerged in the wake of the pandemic.

At the January 18 Virtual Conclave, Dr Aaditya Mattoo, Chief Economist, World Bank, East Asia and Pacific Region, will evaluate the profound impact of the pandemic and the solutions needed to stimulate recovery at his session titled, ‘The Long Road to Economic Stability’.  

Joining him will be H.E. Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai FDI, who will talk about the opportunities available as countries redefine internal and external policies to support self-reliance.

With the pandemic highlighting the crucial role of technology in providing solutions, tech-leaders will give their perspectives on the subject, ‘The Crisis: A Catalyst for a Tech-led Future.’ In this regard, Alisha Moopen, Deputy Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare, said,The year has started with positive news of vaccinations which has been fast-tracked by so many countries and the quickest to-market product we have ever seen in the history of mankind.
