The world’s first Shariah-compliant Robo-Advisor has outlined the key executives who will lead the company’s UAE-based operations
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Wahed Invest (“Wahed”), a New York headquartered halal investing platform which is revolutionizing the Islamic Economy, has appointed Rashed Al Muhtadi as the Head of the UAE to lead the company’s expansive foray in the Emirates.

Rashed Al Muhtadi brings a wealth of industry experience to his role as Head of UAE, having spent close to a decade immersed in the UAE’s finance sector as an investment manager and professional across Emirates NBD’s asset management business unit.
In his role as Head of UAE at Wahed, Rashed Al Muhtadi will work with a dynamic executive team consisting of Yasser Aboudkhil, Chief Technology Officer, who develops and grows Wahed’s technological infrastructure and development teams; Kareem Tabbaa, Chief Product Officer, who leads and develops the company’s product offering and growth strategy; Musa Abdul-Basser, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance Officer (JD, PCIF), who is a finance and capital markets attorney; and Samim Abedi, Global Head of Portfolios, who is responsible for managing Wahed’s global portfolios.
