Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Emirates Dubai 7s, part of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, will include a number of activities for the whole family to enjoy alongside thrilling matches as well as world-class musical performances from local and international artists.

Visitors can look forward to a jam-packed festival of rugby action, musical performances, live entertainment and delicious food and beverages over the UAE National Day weekend from Thursday 1st December to Saturday 3rd December.

Children of all ages are in for a treat with a series of fun activities across three Kids Zones that will be available throughout the festival from 9am – 7pm, including arts and crafts, meet and greets with cartoon characters, bumper cars, face-painting, go-karting car racing, inflatable parks, and more. Kids under 12 even get complimentary access to the Emirates Dubai 7’s.

From entertainment crews roaming around the venue to interactive setups and different genres of music playing from popular DJs across all zones at the festival, the entertainment options are endless for each member of the family.

Soft play area for the toddlers and little ones: Zone 1 (0 to 6-year-olds)

Parents can let their little ones enjoy an exclusive zone for kids up to 6 years of age, with a colourful soft play area and a range of activities such as Lego blocks, a ball pool house, guided arts and crafts, balloon benders, and giant mascots to keep them engaged. Bench seating will be available within Zone 1, which is located in a spacious area for both adults and children to comfortably play and roam around.

Energy blaster section for the preteens: Zone 2 (7 – 12-year-olds)

Older children and preteens can participate in a variety of entertaining attractions – from an inflatable park and racetrack to giant slides, a trampoline, bungee, and arts and crafts all while jamming to musical hits from the one and only DJ Sara Gojer on the decks. She will be playing everything hip-hop and R&B as the kids dance away on a mini dance floor. To ensure the safety of the inflatable equipment and the well-being of children, wind speed will be monitored regularly.

For the teens who are ‘too cool for school’: Zone 3 (13 – 16 year-olds)

Teens can look forward to an entertaining time at this year’s 7s at Zone 3 with a range of exciting spectacles including an inflatable battle zone, ‘meltdown’ sweeper and mechanical bull as well as air hockey, soccer dart, foosball, table tennis, and arcade basketball, in addition to a go-kart circuit, bumper cars and more.

To ensure the health, safety and cleanliness of the venue for all guests, the three zones will be monitored by facilitators at all times and surrounded by barriers for protection. Beverages are not permitted in any of the zones, and food will be restricted to the shaded picnic bench area in Zones 2 and 3. First aid is available within close proximity to all zones and first aiders are onsite for assistance.

With over 100,000 fans expected to attend this year’s festival, fans and visitors can look forward to an exciting weekend of music alongside the rugby action on Pitch 1 and 2, in addition to world-renowned superstar DJs – Cuban Brothers, Gorgon City, and Craig David presents TS5 – headlining Frequency on 8, a visual and audio experience and Beats on Two, a unique bar concept which overlooks all the action on Pitch 2.

Participation in sports is also growing at the festival, with the addition of a new fitness competition, WODON3, an inclusive fitness competition for fitness elites as well as novice athletes looking to push their limits. This will join the Invitational Tournament favourites of Rugby 7s, 10s, Netball presented by Nakheel Community Management and Cricket presented by Dulsco, featuring male and female participants from 32 countries.
