- Institute showcases strong mid-year results with 93% satisfaction rate
- · EIBFS delivers almost 400 programs in the first six months of 2022

Dubai-UAE: Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS), a regional leader in banking and finance education and training, today announced the successful training of around 10,000 professionals working in the banking and financial sector, in the first half of 2022.
About 3,200 UAE Nationals enrolled with EIBFS programs from January to June 2022 and successfully completed their training — marking 32 per cent of the total participation. A total of 390 programs were delivered by EIBFS during the six-months period, which included a mix of courses from Banking Annual Training Program, Insurance Annual Training Program, learning pathways, privately held programs, as well as professional specialized certifications.
All programs and courses received high rating in the customer satisfaction survey with a score of 93 per cent, in which the participants evaluated the programs from excellent to very good.
Commenting on this milestone, Jamal Al Jassmi, General Manager of EIBFS said: “We are pleased to witness the high satisfaction rates and the heavy demand for our professional training which reinforces EIBFS position as one of the key banking and finance sector educational institutions in the region. Every year, we curate our training programs based on the current needs of regional and global markets. He added: “We have seen a significant increase in the number of Emirati participants, which is in line with our commitment to supporting the UAE government’s Emiratisation efforts and the vision of the country’s leadership to enhance the professional abilities and qualifications of the national cadres to achieve a balance between the public and private sectors.”
Breakdown of Programs
EIBFS delivered 273 programs in Banking Operations, Fintech, Risk Management, Quality and Innovation, Fraud Management, Internal Audit, Islamic Banking, Corporate Relationship Manager and Treasury & Investment Banking, among others. A total of 7,481 professionals from the banking and finance sector participated in these courses.
In the insurance space, over 117 curated training modules were delivered in the first six months of 2022, in which 1,966 professionals participated.
Live interactive Webinars
In a move to engage its participants beyond traditional training, through the year, EIBFS held a diverse set of webinars. Bringing together experts from different banking and finance verticals as well as government entities, a total of 5 session were held to cover topics including rethinking SME lending in the digital world, the cybersecurity challenges and the protection of the digital revolution, FATF mutual evaluation challenges and opportunities, frontiers of green & sustainable finance and the impact of web 3.0 (metaverse, nft, cryptocurrencies & blockchain) on banking and finance sector. A total of 586 attendees participated in these webinars.
The EIBFS Annual Training Plan has been designed to act as a skills map for financial and banking professionals to deepen specialist skillsets to better serve the UAE’s growing banking ecosystem. The plan features a range of international certificates, professional certificates, Insight e-learning, and learning bundles. Trainees can opt for full-fledged courses, micro-learning modules, or self-paced learning options.
EIBFS has also partnered with leading institutes and universities of the world, including the University of Oxford, Harvard Business School, Chartered Banker, UAE Human Resources Authority, UAE Ministry of Education, Chartered Insurance Institute, and Dubai Judicial Institute, to bring and offer the best programs and courses in banking and finance.
Over the years, EIBFS has managed to carve a niche for itself in the region for providing best-in-class training and education programs in the banking and finance industry and have trained around 300,000 banking professionals during the past 38 years. In 2021, the institute trained 32,317 professionals of which 36 per cent were Emirati bankers playing an important role in supporting the UAE’s Emiratization strategy to increase Emirati representation in the workforce.
