The local community mall is giving away prizes worth over half a million AED
Dubai, UAE: It’s been one year since Festival Plaza started operation in Jebel Ali, minutes away from Marina, Tecom and Barsha South. Since then, it has opened 23 new retail outlets, including ACE Hardware along with Al Futtaim Clinic’s premium branch, Tashafi for family medicine and Lutetia for all your cosmetology needs. Additionally, a brand-new Daiso has just opened doors early December. Now the community mall wants to give back to the people that helped build the community – YOU!
To celebrate the people that matter most to them, Festival Plaza is launching the CommYOUnity Festival. Kicking off on 10th December until 31st January, the festival will be 45 days of gifts, cash rewards and activations for shoppers to offer them a totally new store experience.
To celebrate its regular shoppers, Festival Plaza is calling all visitors to visit its giant gift box in a campaign called ‘Gifting You’, located on the ground floor of Festival Plaza in Jebel Ali which will be counting down each day at different times of the day. Shoppers must scan the QR Code on the screen and participate in a time-based fun game before the countdown runs out of time to avail a prize! Prizes range from cash credit on the Festival Rewards app – AED 300,000 will be given away as cash credit through the celebration period through the Gift Box!
Elsewhere in the mall, shoppers will have the opportunity to become the face of the celebrations! Guests can get their picture taken in the Mall and have their face projected on screens within the mall, every night during the anniversary celebration. Guests will receive a link to share pictures of their new-found five minutes of fame!

Festival Plaza, opened in 2019, covers 64,800 square metres and serves as a convenient and local lifestyle destination. The shopping destination is home to much-loved flagship stores and hosts the second and biggest IKEA store in Dubai, concept Lulu Hypermarket store, which is the first of its kind, Marks & Spencer, flagship KARE store and recently opened ACE Hardware. The retailers are complimented by a multitude of dining and entertainment options as well such as Famous Daves and their famous BBQ, Peppermill, Grain of Salt, Sumo Sushi and more. Adding to the specialty stores, Daiso, Booktopia and Du are amongst some of the new additions that will find their home at Festival Plaza this December making it even more community friendly and a one stop shop for you and your family.
With convenience at its heart, Festival Plaza also launched a free shuttle bus from the Energy Metro Station and the Ibn Battuta Metro Station and RTA bus station to the mall. The Free shuttle does a loop every 15 minutes to provide a convenient way for public transport commuters to get to and from the shopping center. If you fancy a taxi, a dedicated Hala taxi pickup point was also launched in the summer making it easier for shoppers to hail a ride. To add to all things new, the Festival Rewards app was also launched in September giving shoppers a whole host of offers to enjoy across a selection of brands at both Festival Plaza and Dubai Festival City Mall. Some of the participating brands include much-loved retailers such as Marks & Spencer to restaurants like Peppermill, Blu Intelligent, Toys R Us, Zaatar w Zeit and Al Jabar Optical.
The App is free to download and has offers featured including deals such as 20% off at Al Jaber Optical, 25% off at Optix 20/20, 45% off on diamonds and pearls at Jawhara Jewellry, Buy one get one free at Art of Shaving and Super Care Pharmacy. Offers are constantly added so make sure to check the Festival Rewards app, available to download from the Google store and Apple app store, before you head over to help celebrate.
