H.E. Salama Al Ameemi: Strengthening the Values of Union Begins with Empowering Families and People

On the occasion of Union Pledge Day, H.E. Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of the Family Care Authority FCA, affirmed that the occasion serves as a national milestone to honour the vision of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who believed that a nation’s greatest wealth lies in its people. More than five decades later, that vision continues to guide the UAE’s development journey, placing people and families at the heart of the nation’s progress and prosperity.

H.E. Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of the Family Care Authority, said: “Our Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, believed that a nation’s greatest wealth lies in its people. More than five decades later, that belief continues to shape the UAE, placing people and families at the heart of the nation’s development and prosperity.

As we commemorate Union Pledge Day during the Year of the Family, we are reminded that the pledge of unity did more than bring seven emirates together. It laid the foundations for a society built on compassion, solidarity and a shared responsibility.

At the Family Care Authority, we remain committed to translating these values into meaningful action by supporting families with the care, guidance and protection they need to navigate challenges with confidence. Together with our partners, we continue to empower families, enhance their quality of life and strengthen a more cohesive and prosperous society.”
