Sony Brings Editorial Wedding Photography into Focus at the latest edition of the Alpha Femme Workshop series

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Sony Middle East and Africa is set to host the next edition of its Alpha Femme workshop series on Saturday, July 18, bringing together women passionate about photography and visual storytelling for an immersive hands-on wedding photography workshopdesigned to connect and empower female photographers.

The July edition of the masterclass, “Editorial Weddings: From Moment to Masterpiece,will be led by Dubai-based photographer Petra Drake and will take place from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Garage Studio, Warehouse No. S07-307, Al Quoz Logistics Park, Al Quoz Industrial Area 2, Dubai. The session will feature a live demonstration of Sony’s newly launched Alpha A7R VI, showcasing its high-resolution image quality, advanced autofocus capabilities, portrait performance, and wedding photography workflows through real shooting scenarios. Attendees will experience the capabilities of Sony’s latest Alpha technology while gaining practical insights into creating compelling editorial wedding imagery.

Designed to help creators master the art of timeless editorial wedding imagery, the session will explore the complete creative process: client consultation, pre-shoot planning, studio lighting, camera settings, and posing techniques. The workshop will also provide practical insights into navigating the pace of a wedding day, selecting the right equipment for different scenarios, and developing an efficient post-production workflow. Attendees will have the opportunity to photograph models styled as the bride and groom during a hands-on studio session before concluding with a business-focused discussion and an interactive Q&A with Petra.

Following the success of previous editions, Sony’s ongoing Alpha Femme initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting women in photography, videography, cinematography, and content creation by providing access to industry expertise, hands-on education, and collaborative learning experiences.

The workshop is open to photographers and content creators of all experience levels, with limited places available through advance registration on the Alpha Universe Registration Portal.
