Muscat: Oman Arab Bank (OAB) launched its first eco-friendly desk calendar for 2021. Developed with twelve talented Omani photographers, the new calendar features a stunning photograph for each month of the year and is made entirely from recycled paper and vegetable-based inks.
Commenting on this initiative, Feras Al-Farsi, Sustainability and CSR Specialist at OAB, said, “This calendar is aligned with our sustainability strategy to establish partnerships within our communities, as well as preserving the environment. With the help of these amazing local talents, we were able to produce one of our most beautiful calendars to date. I encourage all our customers and partners to show their support for these exceptionally talented photographers by following their accounts on social media, which are also featured in the new calendar.”
The calendar includes 12 photos, covering everything from natural landscapes to wildlife and traditional scenes within different wilayats of the Sultanate. Each photo has the name of the photographer, their account on social media and the wilaya in which the photo was taken.
“In 2019, Oman Arab Bank launched its new sustainability strategy, which is centred around three main pillars: community partnerships, financial inclusion and environmental responsibility. This strategy has reinforced the Bank’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental preservation. Through this initiative, the Bank will focus on limiting the use of environmentally harmful products while also showcasing the exceptional local talents we have in the Sultanate,” Feras added.
Oman Arab Bank has a rich and proud history as one of the first financial institutions to be established in the Sultanate. Today, the bank operates a nationwide network of 55 branches and representative offices with 160 ATMs spread across Oman. OAB provides a complete range of financial products and services for personal banking, corporate banking and investment clients.
