United Arab Emirates: Pierchic, the stunning multi-award-winning restaurant perched at the end of the private pier at Jumeirah Al Qasr, has been reimagined by acclaimed Italian chef, Beatrice Segoni.
With its serene waterside setting, floating above the tranquil glittering waters of the Arabian Gulf, Pierchic is one of the UAE coastline’s most distinctive dining destinations. Offering an authentic taste of Italy by the sea, with its effortlessly beautiful mix of authentic gastronomy and refined presentation, the story of this beloved Dubai dining destination and Jumeirah’s signature coastal Italian culinary experience has been retold.
Bringing its story to life is one of the most celebrated chefs of the Marche region in Italy, Chef Beatrice Segoni presenting a limited-edition, signature tasting menu. Having learned her craft as a student of the great chef Gianfranco Vissani, who taught her the power of simplicity and combining flavours with ease and elegance, Chef Beatrice has transformed the Pierchic experience to lead guests on a journey through the senses with an exceptional tasting menu. Through her modern expression of flavour, diners will indulge in signature specialty handcrafted pasta and abundant seafood while drinking in views of Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and the city’s beautiful seascape beyond. Opulent interiors and exceptional service perfectly complement Chef Beatrice’s artistry on the plate resulting in a truly chic gastronomic experience, reflective of Jumeirah Group’s culinary vision to create unique and unforgettable dining moments for its guests.
Bursting with freshness, the new tasting menu at Pierchic is centred around traditional homemade pasta for which Chef Beatrice is famous, and delicious seafood – a combination perfectly in tune with its unique coastal setting.
Guests can start their culinary tour of Italy at the Crudo Bar with a choice of raw seafood dishes dressed in delicious vinaigrettes, a traditional way of serving the fresh catch of the day in Italy. These include Ricciola Del Pacifico Con Mandarino E Aglio Nero (Yellowtail Kingfish, Mandarine and Black Garlic) and Branzino Con Pomodorini Marinati (Sea Bass, Tomato and Vinegar). No Italian meal is complete without a first course of Antipasti to awaken the taste buds, this includes Mousse Di Fegatino Di Pollo (Chicken Liver Parfait, Crispy Polenta, Red Current Sauce and Pear Gelee). Pasta lovers can then discover the simple joy of Pierchic’s specialty dishes, including Plin Di Faraona Con Crema Di Parmigiano (Guinea Fowl Plin, Parmesan Cream) and Chitarrine Sea Food (Chitarrine pasta, Calamari, Clams, Red Prawns and Scallops). Signature dishes including Carotine (Beef Tenderloin with Parsnip, Date Chutney and Baby Carrots) and Marche specialty seafood soup Brodetto.
To end their gastronomic experience on a sweet note, guests can choose from a variety of tempting Dolce or desserts from Chef Beatrice’s selection. In addition, diners can enjoy a specially curated grape list for a truly exceptional dining experience.
While Florentine by adoption, Chef Beatrice grew up in the coastal Marche region of Italy, an area steeped in rich cultural heritage and famous for its artisanal pastas and bountiful seafood. Her birthplace is an integral aspect of the identity of her food with the flavours and traditional practices often present in her recipes. From her early career in fashion, Chef Beatrice has channelled creativity, sophistication, and the art of refinement into the culinary world. Her passion for food eventually led her from her quaint restaurant in the village of Porto Recanati to spend 14 years at Florence’s renowned Borgo San Jacopo, during which it earned a Michelin Star. At Pierchic, Chef Beatrice only has one wish for her patrons: “I hope every guest that tastes my food realises that I cook with all my heart. The success of any restaurant comes from the passion that the chef puts into every single dish.”
The restaurant is welcoming guests for the launch of its tasting menu starting from Sunday, July 4 from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm (Sunday – Saturday) and 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm (Friday – Saturday) priced at AED 490 (minimum 2 pax) and an additional AED 210 per person with wine pairing.
