Rozhgar Barzan is a seasoned business leader with 17 years across the Holcim Group, known for driving operational excellence, commercial expansion and business transformation across key regional markets. As Chief Executive Officer of Holcim UAE and Oman, he will be leading the company’s strategic direction across both markets, advancing low-carbon building solutions, circular construction and industrial decarbonization.
Rozhgar joined Holcim in 2009 and has built his career across the breadth of the business. He has held roles spanning sourcing and supply chain, strategy and business development, and commercial leadership in Iraq, including as Commercial Director. He most recently served as General Manager of Ready-Mix Oman, where he led the business in one of the Group’s key regional markets.
A results-driven commercial leader, Rozhgar brings extensive experience across the cement, dry mortar and ready-mix concrete businesses. This depth of market knowledge, combined with a hands-on approach to leadership, has shaped his track record of building high-performing teams and delivering growth across multiple markets.
In his current role, Rozhgar is focused on accelerating the deployment of sustainable building materials, including Holcim’s ECOPlanet and ECOPact ranges, and scaling regional decarbonization initiatives, such as the recently commissioned industrial Carbon Capture and Underground Mineralization pilot in Fujairah. As the UAE and Oman accelerate their transition toward sustainable infrastructure and national sustainability targets, he remains committed to delivering low-carbon solutions, advancing circular construction and providing exceptional value to Holcim’s customers and partners.
Rozhgar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Salahaddin University-Erbil and a Master of Business Administration in International Management and Leadership from the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani.
