Kuwait City, Kuwait: UMS Conferences has announced the Kuwait edition of CyberSense World (CSW). The event, which is endorsed by the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), Kuwait, is scheduled for 12 to 13 September, 2017 in Kuwait City, and will bring together leading industry experts and decision makers to provide exclusive insights into the current cyber threat landscape. It will serve as a knowledge-sharing platform that will enable organisations to discover the latest cyber security solutions and help them upgrade their systems to withstand cyber-attacks. The first edition of CSW, which was held in Oman, hosted 135 delegates and covered a wide range of topics related to cybercrime and security.
Given the recent spate of malware attacks, cyber security has emerged as a crucial and urgent issue in today’s corporate environment. The threat of cyber security breaches is expected to increase in the near future as networks expand and cyber-attacks become increasingly sophisticated. Kuwait is at the forefront of cyber defence in the Middle East, taking considerable efforts to secure its oil and gas industry, as well as other sectors, from cyber-attacks. The Government of Kuwait recently inaugurated the NATO-ICI Regional Centre in Kuwait City, while the Kuwaiti cabinet has asked the Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology to establish a National Cyber Security Centre. CSW Kuwait 2017 will discuss, highlight and analyse the various aspects of cybercrime and security on a regional and global level. It will serve as an occasion for world leaders and government officials to come together and share their views and expertise in cyber security.
CSW Kuwait will feature strategic conference sessions, targeted CISO panel debates, consultative business meetings, technology briefings and demos, and engaging masterclasses. It will explore critical topics such as the impact of ransomware attacks on Kuwait’s economy, artificial intelligence and machine learning in cyber security, the future of 5G technology and its effect on the connected world, overcoming the top threats in cloud computing, and how to secure mobility and IoT devices.
