Landmark Dolby Atmos release becomes the Middle East’s first regional metal concept album in immersive audio
Dubai, UAE – Eight years after the release of Come and Take, UAE progressive metal band Private Government returns with Come and Take: Immersia, the definitive edition of its landmark concept album. Releasing worldwide on 26 August 2026 through Metal East Records, the album combines the complete Special Edition originally released on CD in 2018 with a new sound, and an entirely new Dolby Atmos mix.
Come and Take: Immersia marks two regional firsts: the first metal album AND first metal concept album produced in the UAE and MENA region to embrace the immersive format, placing listeners at the centre of an uninterrupted cinematic experience.
The Dolby Atmos version was re-mixed at MNK Studios in Dubai, one of the region’s Dolby Atmos music facilities and a studio at the forefront of immersive music production in the Middle East. The mix was completed by Jason Baretto and Miltiadis Kyvernitis, who rebuilt the album for immersive audio, improved the sound over the original but still kept the essence close to the original release.
Unlike traditional albums built around isolated tracks, Come and Take: Immersia was conceived as one continuous musical journey. There is no silence between songs. Carefully constructed transitions, ambient textures and musical cues connect each track to the next, encouraging listeners to experience the album as a complete work.
At a time when streaming has shifted audiences toward playlists and single-song consumption, Private Government is deliberately challenging that trend by reviving the art of long-form listening.
The release also features newly recorded bass performances by renowned regional bassist Rami Lakkis, alongside subtle arrangement refinements throughout the album. The track listing has also been restored to its originally intended Greek, with English titles appearing in brackets, bringing the album another step closer to the form in which it was originally conceived.
Rather than simply remastering the original release, Come and Take: Immersia has been completely reimagined for immersive audio. Instruments, transitions and sonic details have been positioned within a three-dimensional sound field, creating new depth, movement and clarity.
- “From the very beginning, Come and Take was never intended to be experienced as a collection of songs,” says Miltiadis Kyvernitis, producer and founder of Private Government. “It was written as one continuous musical journey. Dolby Atmos finally gave us the canvas to realise that vision exactly as we imagined it. This isn’t simply a new mix. It’s the album reaching its final form. At a time when music is increasingly consumed one song at a time, we’re sticking to our preference of long-form listening.”
Eight years after its original release, Come and Take: Immersia is both a celebration of the album’s legacy and a statement about the future of heavy music production in the Middle East, demonstrating that world-class immersive productions can emerge from the region.
Come and Take: Immersia will be available worldwide on 26 August 2026 via Metal East Records, in Stereo and Dolby Atmos on supported digital streaming platforms.
